Mozilla Firefox like Windows ( regedit.exe ) has its own advanced configuration utility. To access this tool we have to write in the address bar "about: config" and press enter.
Once you load the configuration page we will find a multitude of variables that can be modified to improve our navigation. The optimal modification of variables depend on our own circumstances: operating system, amount of ram, bandwidth etc we have.
The changes recommended here are exposed to most users, but everyone can try different settings and see if they are stable depending on the power of your system.
To increase the speed of Firefox we find the following values (you can use the bar "Filter")
• network.http.pipelining
• network.http.proxy.pipelining
• network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
Modifies the values of these entries, by clicking on them from "false" to "true"
• Change "network.http.pipelining" to "true"
• Change "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"
Change "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" 4 down to 30. This will cause the browser to make 30 requests simultaneously. This value can be increased but everyone should try to know which is more stable value, it is recommended 30.
Firefox makes a request to a page at a time. When you activate the "pipelining" will you make several at once, which significantly accelerate the loading of the page.
Finally, click the right mouse button anywhere on the page and select New = Integer (integer in English). Name the new field as "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and give it the value "0." This value is the amount of time the browser waits before loading the page.
Restart the browser to apply the changes.
