For several weeks in the U.S. is issued an advertising campaign to promote use of the browser Google Chrome among Americans.
Google has been up to the launch of Chrome the best partner of Mozilla in its battle against Microsoft's Explorer. The succulent contract allowed the Mozilla Foundation to defray the project. From now until 2011 the contract between Google and Mozilla continue in force, but that does not mean that Google has already declared war on Firefox. And is that more than one advertisement to be broadcast on television features to the browser "classic" like a cat, something which clearly refers to Firefox, especially in the second ad.
Curiously, the largest Internet company (and advertising on the Internet) do traditional advertising on television, right? Google knows that stealing market share from Firefox by Internet promotion makes little sense, since what Firefox users are very loyal to the Mozilla browser. But if they change publicity and planning support will reach the user television using Internet Explorer, a user in principle less experienced and more likely to switch to Chrome.
Television has the power to reach the masses, users "casual" Internet, which fall to read mail and little else. There is the user who is willing and able to steal Google quickly, reaching a market share close to that of Firefox.
In any case, Google's strategy benefits everyone, the battle of the browsers will allow us to enjoy greater innovation, new online applications and a better browsing experience.
Following the announcement of Google Chrome now they're broadcasting on television.
